1) A few paragraphs in, I was wondering why Danielle went to a sex resort in the first place. It doesn’t seem like her scene and she’s not psyched. I love that the author addressed my concern, literally describing how she came to arrive at Desire Resort and Spa.
2) The book is classified as humorous erotica, so it makes total sense that the female protagonist has had sex one-and-a-half times in her life. And now she’s at a “sex resort.” I don’t know where she’ll go with the humor, but there are plenty of possibilities. It’s like watching a germophobe doctor working in an ebola ward.
3) I love how Danielle is disgusted after realizing that her bedding has been drenched in the bodily fluids of countless previous guests. Now I really want to see how Danielle handles being surrounded by hedonists.
